"I initially trained in adult and pediatric anesthesia and worked in NY state for over a decade as an anesthesiologist. My long-standing interest in death led me to train as a death doula, and in 2020 I started facilitating virtual death cafes to help people process the pandemic's traumatic impact. In 2022 I completed training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine and started work as a Hospice medical director.
My interest in psychedelics led me to perform my own research review of the existing data during my Hospice training. I’ve come to appreciate them as powerful therapeutic adjuncts for various mental disorders, and as beneficial for existential distress at the end of life. I subsequently pursued advanced psychedelic therapy training, and have had several of my own therapeutic experiences. I believe that a personal relationship with these medicines contributes to the moral and ethical responsibility of effectively serving those who come to me for help.

I am deeply interested in human development and passionate about the expansion of our consciousness. Through my personal development using energy healing, yoga, meditation as well as trauma therapy, the focus has moved from the physical well-being to include and prioritize the mental and psycho-spiritual well-being of an individual.
I continue to work as a Hospice physician in a supportive role, as well as partner in a collaborative practice with Ketamine therapists where we support people find relief for various mental health disorders. I am involved in end-of-life education, hospice volunteering, facilitation of death cafes, and patient advocacy work at the NY state level. I envision being able to help isolated and marginalized people have better access to psychedelic therapies and a good death experience. In my free time I enjoy spending time in nature, music and dance, cooking, philosophizing and being with friends."
